Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Awyr collects, uses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the Awyr website, browser extension, and related services.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Awyr collects and processes information necessary to provide the features you request. Depending on how you use Awyr, this may include account information such as your name and email address, authentication information, prompts and questions you submit, AI-generated responses, conversation history, saved Studio items, workspace information, learning or research content, and other information you choose to save in the service.

2. Information Processed by the Awyr Browser Extension

When you use the Awyr browser extension, the extension may process information from the active webpage when you explicitly use a feature that requires that information. This may include selected text, webpage text or content, webpage URLs, webpage titles, screenshots, captured areas of a webpage, and information from browser tabs that you choose to provide as context to Awyr. This information is processed to provide the feature you requested, such as asking a question, explaining content, summarizing information, or providing other AI-assisted functionality.

3. Screenshots and Screen Recordings

If you use screenshot or recording features, Awyr may process the visual content that you choose to capture. Screen recordings may include visual or audio information that is present in the recording. These features are initiated by the user and are used to provide the recording, editing, analysis, or related functionality requested by the user.

4. How We Use Information

Awyr uses information to provide and operate requested features, authenticate users, generate AI responses, maintain conversations and saved content, provide learning, research, productivity and Studio functionality, process payments where applicable, provide customer support, maintain security, prevent abuse and fraud, troubleshoot technical problems, and communicate important service-related information.

5. AI Processing

When you use an AI-powered feature, information that you submit or explicitly provide as context may be transmitted to Awyr's backend systems and to third-party AI service providers used by Awyr to generate the requested response. Depending on the feature, this information may include your prompt, selected text, webpage context, screenshots, documents, or other content you choose to provide.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

Awyr may use third-party service providers to operate and provide its services. These providers may process information on Awyr's behalf for purposes such as AI processing, payment processing, hosting, authentication, storage, security, analytics, and infrastructure.

Payment processing is provided by Razorpay where applicable. Awyr does not intentionally store complete payment card numbers or CVV information on its own systems.

7. Information Sharing

Awyr does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers when necessary to provide a feature or operate the service, including AI providers, payment providers, hosting or infrastructure providers, authentication providers, security providers, and other vendors that support Awyr's operation.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, governmental request, to protect the rights or safety of Awyr or its users, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

8. Data Storage

Information may be stored on Awyr's systems and on infrastructure operated by third-party service providers that Awyr uses to provide the service. The specific information stored depends on the features you use. For example, account information, conversations, saved Studio content, and other user-created data may be stored so that the corresponding features can function across sessions and devices.

9. Data Retention

Awyr retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services, maintain user accounts and saved content, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and otherwise operate the service.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the feature involved. Information that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable processes and legal requirements.

10. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account or personal information by contacting us at awyr.official@gmail.com.

We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. Some information may need to be retained when required by law or when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or other legitimate legal purposes.

11. Cookies, Sessions, and Technical Information

Awyr may use cookies, authentication sessions, local browser storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain preferences, secure accounts, operate the service, and understand technical performance.

The Awyr browser extension may also use Chrome extension storage mechanisms to store settings, authentication state, preferences, and other information necessary for extension functionality.

12. Chrome Extension Permissions

Awyr requests browser permissions only when they are necessary for features provided by the extension. Depending on the version and features of the extension, these permissions may allow Awyr to access browser tabs, capture screen content, execute scripts in supported contexts, store extension settings, display notifications, and support recording functionality.

Awyr does not use browser permissions to intentionally collect unrelated information. Information accessed through the extension is used to provide the feature that the user activates.

13. User Control and Choice

Awyr features that require webpage context, screenshots, selected text, or recordings are initiated by the user. You should avoid submitting passwords, financial information, confidential business information, or other sensitive information unless you understand that the information may be processed as necessary to provide the feature you requested.

14. Security

Awyr uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

15. Children's Privacy

Awyr is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Awyr without appropriate authorization, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or otherwise control certain processing of your information.
